I believe we are all born with certain gifts and we are given certain opportunities. We desire to use these to live for a higher purpose - to create something of value for the world, to love and care for those around us. We are called to be heroes. 

When we have good health, we can focus outward, showing up in life in the way that we desire. Having poor health makes us focus inward, keeping us from being the hero.

To be the hero you need to:

  • Picture the Hero. Understand your answer to the question, "What will good health allow me to do?" then take steps to keep that top of mind so it's not swept away by the busyness of life.
  • Train the Body. The hero's body was created to thrive with quality nutrition, movement, and sleep. But contrary to what the internet wants you to believe, the principles of a healthy lifestyle are straightforward and easy to learn.
  • Fight the Dragon. Like a powerful, two-headed monster, our culture and our own psychology will attack you each day, trying to keep you from following through on your good intentions. Most people try to fight back with willpower, though willpower always runs out. More powerful weapons are needed for this fight.

I've been in practice since 2003 in Boulder County, providing a full range of endocrine care, including type 1 and type 2 diabetes, thyroid issues and thyroid cancer, low testosterone, osteoporosis, parathyroid and pituitary issues, and female hormone problems.

My current interests include the use of advanced testing and personalized medicine focused on disease prevention and improving quality of life over one's entire lifespan.
